Need I say anything- its MacArthur! Jesus is simply not the wimpy man that is often portrayed by people who don't bother to read their Bibles. John Calvin stands in history as one of the greatest and most courageous proponents of the doctrines of grace. The Institutes was his most popular work. This is a classic work that every Christian ought to take time to read! This particular edition (edited by Lane and Osborne) is an excellent translation, making it much more readable.
