Believer's Baptism and the New Covenant: Taylor Interviews Wellum

Several weeks ago I taught a Sunday School class to some of the men on how the message of the Bible fits together (both Old and New Testaments). I spoke about the superiority of the new covenant, and the importance of studying the other covenants within their own context. I figured the interview (the link is found below) that this post directs the reader to would be helpful for the men in my class who had great questions, which I tried to answer but too often came up woefully short in giving clear, thorough, and (as always) succinct answers. In addition, I did not get a chance to really discuss the significance of baptism in the class. I am confident that this interview helps one understand baptism better. But even if you were not in the class, read the interview anyway. It addresses new covenant theology, if not directly, at least indirectly!

Justin Taylor is the one responsible for interviewing Steve Wellum. Dr. Wellum is a professor at Southern Seminary. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to take a class with him, which I much regret, especially after reading this interview. If you want clear, Biblical answers regarding why believer's baptism is the only legitimate type of baptism, then this interview is just for you! If you want to better understand how the message of the Bible fits together, then this is a good, short read for you as well.

Enjoy-
Andy
